Dover festival to showcase Latino heritage
DOVER, Del. (AP) — Delaware is getting a head start on Hispanic Heritage Month with two festivals this weekend that will highlight the contributions of the Latino community to the state’s culture and economy.
The 14th annual Dover Hispanic Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday in Legislative Mall State Park, and the 10th annual Delaware Latino Festival will be held Sunday in Wilmington’s Riverfront Park.
Both festivals will feature live music, dance performances, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
Wilmington festival celebrates Latino culture
The Dover festival will also include a job fair and a health fair. The Wilmington festival will also feature a car show and a soccer tournament.
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 and recognizes the contributions of Hispanic Americans to the United States.
